With over 30 years of pediatric experience, and having helped thousands of children over the years, it’s clear Dr. Shahriar Shahzeidi loves what he does and has a real passion for solving kids sleep issues. He knows kids sleep health issues from head to toe and is one of the few pediatric sleep medicine specialists outside of a children’s or university hospital setting in the Washington D.C. metro area. Children’s sleep issues are on the rise, and studies have shown that inadequate sleep leads to symptoms very similar to ADHD including tiredness, difficulty focusing attention, learning problems and impulse modulation problems. As Dr. Shahzeidi reports, ‘Kids sleep health needs are often unique and call for special care, as a fellowship-trained, board-certified pediatric sleep medicine physician I am determined to make sure your child’s needs are known and well taken care of.’ Having completed my fellowship at Children’s National Medical Center, I look forward to working with kids of all ages and their families too, so that they will feel newly confident in wishing each other a good night as well as a good morning and day ahead.
