Julie Castro, MMS, PA-C, is a board-certified Physician Assistant specializing in sleep medicine with a clinical background in otolaryngology (ENT). She has been practicing as a Physician Assistant since 2021 and brings extensive experience evaluating and managing conditions that affect sleep, breathing, and overall quality of life.
Prior to joining Comprehensive Sleep Care Center (CSCC), Julie practiced in a high-volume otolaryngology setting, where she gained valuable experience caring for patients with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), snoring, chronic nasal obstruction, and other conditions affecting the upper airway, sleep, and breathing.
At Comprehensive Sleep Care Center, Julie works with patients experiencing a wide range of sleep disorders, including sleep apnea, snoring, insomnia, excessive daytime sleepiness, and other sleep-related concerns. She helps patients navigate the entire sleep care process—from initial evaluation and diagnosis to sleep testing and personalized treatment.
Treatment for sleep apnea is not one-size-fits-all. Depending on a patient’s diagnosis, needs, and preferences, treatment options may include CPAP and PAP therapy, Oral Appliance Therapy (OAT), Inspire therapy, lifestyle modifications, and other sleep apnea treatment options. CSCC also offers both in-lab sleep studies and home sleep apnea testing (HSAT) to help accurately diagnose sleep disorders.
Julie is passionate about providing personalized, patient-centered care and believes in taking the time to understand each patient’s individual symptoms, concerns, and treatment goals. As a bilingual provider fluent in English and Spanish, she is committed to making high-quality sleep medicine accessible to diverse patient populations throughout the Washington, DC, Northern Virginia, and Maryland region.
Julie is proud to be part of the multidisciplinary team at Comprehensive Sleep Care Center, an AASM-accredited sleep medicine practice with accredited sleep labs throughout the Washington, DC metropolitan area. She looks forward to helping patients improve their sleep, breathing, daytime energy, and overall quality of life.
Outside of medicine, Julie is a proud mom of two and enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, staying active, and exploring new places. She brings the same warm, compassionate, and approachable personality to her patient care.
