Dr. Mary Rondeau is a prosthodontist at Comprehensive Sleep Care Center who participates in the interdisciplinary management of patients diagnosed with sleep-related breathing disorders. Her clinical focus is on the dental evaluation and management of patients prescribed Oral Appliance Therapy (OAT) for obstructive sleep apnea and snoring, in coordination with the patient’s sleep physician.
Dr. Rondeau earned her dental degree from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry and completed advanced prosthodontic training at the Naval Postgraduate Dental School in Bethesda. Her background in prosthodontics provides expertise in occlusion and oral function, supporting appropriate appliance fit and patient comfort during therapy.
At Comprehensive Sleep Care Center, Dr. Rondeau conducts dental evaluations, obtains digital scans, and provides delivery and adjustment of oral appliances following physician diagnosis and prescription. She works collaboratively with the sleep medicine team to support effective and comfortable use of oral appliance therapy.
Oral Appliance Therapy is an evidence-based treatment option for select patients with obstructive sleep apnea or chronic snoring. Custom oral appliances are worn during sleep to support airway patency and are managed as part of a coordinated care model between dental and medical providers.
Dr. Rondeau remains actively engaged in continuing education and professional organizations related to dental sleep medicine and prosthodontics. Her approach emphasizes patient education, collaboration with referring providers, and adherence to evidence-based clinical protocols.
